Yesterday I took a hike at Highlands Nature Sanctuary/Museum. It was FASCINATING!!!! It is at who-knows-where. Here's why I did not know where it is. We were just taking 1 of those "Let's drive around and see where we'll end up" rides. We drove around in the country and wound up in a few cities. Once we decided to head home, we spotted it. We went to see what it was, and it was a museum about the Appalachian Forest. I learned about the most colorful forest and that cougars are endangered. There was also a trail to hike. So we hiked! It was so high in some points that I felt nauseous. Once we were heading down to the bottom, I spotted a cave that looked neat but funny. It looked like a nose. I called it nostril cave!

We went down to the bottom and found where a huge rock had broken free from the cliff and fallen. Dad took a picture of me through the crack in the rock.

On our way back up, we had to climb some really steep stairs. Dad took our picture there too.

We came up to Cave Road, and we were confused. Mom said "What are we supposed to do now?" I looked at my map and said "That-a way!" pointing left. We walked across the bridge, and when we got back the office was closed. I said, " The office is closed." Mom said, "We got here just in the nick of time." Then we went back up to our car and drove off.
THE END
